The Foam Chair Bed – Why It Is The Best Furniture For Your Kids Room

Choosing furniture for your child’s room can be difficult.  You get to the shop and they have whole ranges of bedroom furniture and suddenly you are not quite sure what you actually need.  The one thing I would say that you need is a foam chair bed.

Confused?  Here where to start.  Think about what is important to your child and what is important to their development.  The obvious place to start is their bed.  This is probably the most expensive piece of furniture you will buy for your child’s room, but it will last a long time.  Then they will need somewhere to store their clothes.  Make sure that you buy something where they can reach everything they need, it is great for children to start choosing and getting themselves ready from an early age.

They will need somewhere for their toys, whether it is toy boxes or baskets, keep it simple so they can put their toys away each night.  Try not to create a system which is too complicated.

So that is the sleep and play done, now you have to think about the drawing, later writing and reading.  From the first time you child picks up a pen or crayon they are preparing’ for reading and writing.  It is important to encourage this.  They need an area where they can sit at a table and draw.

When it comes to reading it can be a bit harder.  Most children will want to sit in a chair, and most importantly their own chair.  This is where the foam chair bed comes into its own.  This is the perfect chair for them to crawl onto and look at books from an early age.

The foam chair bed market is targeted towards kids, the fabrics are washable and they are brightly coloured so choosing one they will like will not be difficult.  I always think that for items like this there are two ways to choose.  Either keep it a surprise, or take them to the shop and let them choose themselves.  Most large shops will have a selection of them on display and you child will probably immediately walk towards one particular foam chair bed, whether it is the colour or pattern there is usually one which will leap out at them.

The other advantages to a foam chair bed, is that it is a bed as well.   So when they are old enough to have friends for sleepovers you simply have to pull out the chair and there is your guest bed.

There is one final use, which I have used on several occasions.  My son suffers with high temperatures when he is ill, on these nights, I will pull out the foam chair bed so I can sleep near him in case he needs me.  As an adult, I wouldn’t want to sleep on one every night, but they are a lot more comfortable than it expected.

So whatever else you buy for your child’s room, a foam chair bed is probably the only piece of furniture which will be used by your child, their guests and you, a pretty essential item.
